Early Days of Natural Springs Resort
In the 1800’s, early pioneers recognized the beauty of the area as they crested the hill south of New Paris, Ohio. They saw the great potential for a homestead with the lush wooded valley, hills on three sides and sizeable waterway.
A large area of limestone was discovered in 1889 and quarrying was active until the 1920’s. It was the largest industry in New Paris during that time, employing 50 local individuals. Today that property is Natural Springs Resort and home to 46 tranquil acres, a spring-fed lake with natural rock formations, numerous exciting amenities, 219 spacious RV sites, 15 cabin rentals, an RV rental and ten rustic tent sites.
